THE TEAM

Little Trebiggan was set up in 2016. It is the offspring of Trebiggan Productions which was set up by Dean Nolan.

 

The company was developed to produce Theatre for the younger generation. To focus on Cornish themes, myths and legends. To introduce Cornish language and to basically have lots of fun. 

 

Little Trebiggan is run by Nina Hills with the guidance of Dean Nolan.

Nina Hills

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR 

​

Nina graduated from the University of St Mark and St John with a degree in drama in 2013. Since then she has worked with Bish, Bash, Bosh, and Trebiggan Productions, Play it Again Theatre Company, Cube Essential, The Story Republic, Coppice Theatre, and Mazed Tales as a performer.

 

She has directed Konnichiwa Kernow and BFG at Sterts (in lockdown 2020!!) And has produced the Little Trebiggan shows. She is currently working on a one woman show about the peri menopause to be toured in 2021. 

Andria Threadgill

ACTOR 

​ 

Andria is a Cornish actor, theatre maker, and lecturer. Andria trained at The Hub Theatre School, Dartington College of Arts and completed a teaching qualification at Poole and Bournemouth College. 

 

On graduating from Darlington Andria went to work for Word and Action Dorset, a company specialising in improvisational performance and theatre in education, work that took her into schools in Italy, Germany and Austria. 

 

​On returning to Cornwall she performed in Kneehighs site specific show, Hells Mouth, and from there went to create site specific work and storytelling at The Eden Project, working closely with other artists and the education team. 

 

Andria has taught at Brokenhurst College, Stagecoach Salisbury, Andover, Plymouth, and at City College Plymouth.

Eleanor Burnham - Actor - Katie's Black Hole Adventure

 

Eleanor has a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and graduated with a Masters in Acting from Arts Educational School, London. Theatre credits include: John Cage Centenary Celebration Prom (Royal Albert Hall), Jan in I'll be Back Before Midnight! (English Theatre of Hamburg), Rapunzel in 'Into the Woods' (Emporium Theatre), Daphne in Present Laughter (Millfield Theatre), Ida in See How They Run (Millfield Theatre), Rosie in Rosie and the Seagull (Rosemary Branch Theatre) and Ella in Ella and the Dragophant (Goldsmiths University, London). Having moved back down to Cornwall, Eleanor recently appeared in Treasure Island (Miracle Theatre) and is delighted to now be joining Little Trebiggan in Katie's Black Hole Adventures!

Jane Spurr - Actor/Puppeteer

Jane studied at The Hub Theatre School, Academy of Live & recorded Arts London and is a multi platform Practitioner,Performer, & Writer. She worked as a site specific performer at The Eden Project for many years enjoying working across many art forms creating inclusive and interactive pieces like The Mobile Tea Dance & Wandering Daphne,for all the public to enjoy, collaborating with actors, dancers, musicians,
singers, artists, poets, and film makers.

 

Plays include: The Tempest & The Fall Of Robin Hood with Miracle
Theatre, The Warp directed by Ken Campbell The Roundhouse London.
'Oedipus' The Drum Plymouth Theatre Royal. Judas Worm & Bohelland By The Cornish Theatre Collective S.W.tour. The Trials of Don Juan Mercury Theatre Colchester, & Girls Own Theatre.

 

Jane won The Port Eliot Festivals new play writing competition
'The Mints' was performed by Miracle Theatre and made into a radio
play.'The Land Of Cloaks'(part of Hall for Cornwalls' writers workshop) was
performed in Mini Coopers across Cornwall. 'Bedsitland' was performed at Plymouth Fringe Festival 2016. Jane has appeared in various stage and TV productions including DocMartin.

Sam Pomeroy - Director

​

Sam is a producer, writer, director and actor based in the South West. Sam wrote and directed Effervescent’s ‘Radiant Grotto’ which was listed as ‘Top 10 things to do at Christmas’ in the Guardian. Sam has worked for several theatres and companies across the South West including Sterts Arts Centre. He is the resident director for Plymouth University’s Musical Theatre group. He is Artistic Director for No wall Creative Arts and prior to this he was artistic director for Cyclone Theatre who’s final works finished up in the Tristan Bates Theatre in Covent garden.

Jack Rosewarne-Hebb - Musical Director

​

Jack has worked professionally as a musician and performer from a young age. Alongside playing in multiple bands of varying genres, he has worked with multiple theatre companies including Wildworks, Kneehigh, and The Barbican Theatre. As a multi-instrumentalist, Jack possesses the ability to recreate the sound of an entire band playing with only a single microphone and a stack load of instruments.

Sue sews costumes and sets for Puppetcraft, helps communities in East Cornwall make Giants and lanterns and collects tales for Cornish story project Mazed - www.mazedtales.org

Nix Wood

Puppet Consultant

​

Nix studied at The University of Birmingham where she gained a BA Hons in Drama and Theatre Arts. More recently she completed a course at the Curious School of Puppetry. She has worked with Cube Theatre, Play It Again, Horse + Bamboo Parabola and more recently Theatre Undertow.

Matt is a working actor, director. Theatre maker, designer and maker (not always at the same time). He has worked professionally around the world for the past 20 years and currently lectures in Performing Arts in Plymouth.
